# A map that works without internet

Feature · Offline

In a crisis, the connection usually drops exactly when you need it most. That is why the most important places should be on your phone in advance.

Prepared by the [InCaseMap team](https://incasemap.com/en/about) · Updated 8 October 2026

> **In short:** an offline map is a map whose places are saved on your phone and visible without a connection. InCaseMap saves all 198,972 places on your phone, so you will see shelters, KAS shelters, water, hospitals and LRT radio frequencies even when the connection or power is lost. Only alerts, weather, cameras and chats do not work offline.

## What works offline

| Feature | Without internet |
| --- | --- |
| Map and places (shelters, water, hospitals, etc.) | Yes |
| LRT radio frequencies | Yes |
| Air raid and situation alerts | No |
| Weather, river levels, air pollution | No |
| Public cameras | No |
| Family group and communities | No |

## How to prepare

1. Open the InCaseMap map once while you have internet: every place is saved on your phone.
2. Find the areas that matter to you on the map: home, work, school, country house, and the nearest shelters.
3. Test it offline: turn on airplane mode and open the map.
4. Write down the LRT radio frequency for your area.

## Making your phone last longer

- Keep a charged power bank and a car charger.
- Turn on battery saver mode and lower the screen brightness.
- When there is no signal, the phone drains its battery searching for a network — airplane mode saves it.

## Frequently asked questions
