Purpose
InCaseMap is an information tool that helps you find shelters, KAS shelters, evacuation points, water points and other important places. InCaseMap is not a government authority, but its civil protection places, weather and alerts come from official state sources and update automatically.
Data sources
InCaseMap is built on official state data:
- Fire and Rescue Department (PAGD) — shelters, KAS shelters, evacuation points and sirens (open data, data.gov.lt).
- Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service (LHMT) — weather forecasts and warnings, weather stations, river levels and rain radar.
- Lithuanian Energy Agency (LEA) — fuel prices at every Lithuanian petrol station.
- Via Lietuva — EV charging points and their status, road disruptions and state road cameras (eismoinfo.lt).
- Radiation Protection Centre (RSC) — background radiation.
- State Border Guard Service (VSAT) — which border crossings are open.
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs (URM) — Lithuanian embassies and consulates.
- Registrų centras (Centre of Registers) — addresses.
- Litgrid — the electricity transmission grid.
- lt72.lt — official civil protection guidance the guides follow.
- Latvia: VUGD (shelters, sirens), LVĢMC (weather, rivers), Latvijas Valsts ceļi. Estonia: Päästeamet, Keskkonnaagentuur, Transpordiamet. Poland: the State Fire Service (KG PSP), IMGW-PIB, GDDKiA and the Government Centre for Security (RCB).
Hospitals, pharmacies, police, fire stations, drinking water, petrol station locations, stations and ATMs in Lithuania, as well as bridges, fords and places to avoid, come from OpenStreetMap (ODbL). This is community data, not state data. Airfields come from OurAirports.
We show the data as the source publishes it and update it automatically, as often as the source updates it. The sources’ names and marks belong to their owners. InCaseMap is not affiliated with these institutions, does not represent them and does not speak on their behalf.
Data accuracy
- Civil protection places, weather, alerts, fuel prices, charging points and road information come from official state sources in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Poland (in Lithuania — PAGD, LHMT, LEA, Via Lietuva and others); hospitals, pharmacies, water and some other places — from OpenStreetMap. They may change: a shelter may be closed or full, water may be temporarily unsafe to drink.
- We try to keep the data up to date, but we cannot guarantee that every place is always accurate. Check important things on site.
- The markers, distances, names and warnings shown on this website are demonstrations and are labelled “Example”.
- Spotted a mistake? Let us know.
