| Building | For neighbours in your stairwell and building: who has a generator, who needs help, which basement is open. |
How to find your community
- Open the “Communities” section.
- Enter a city, village or address and tap “Search”.
- Join the community you find or, if it does not exist yet, request that it be opened.
- A community opens once 10 people have joined. Invite your neighbours to make it happen sooner.
What it is useful for
- Quickly finding out what is happening nearby: a blocked road, a power cut, a closed shelter.
- Offering or asking for help: water, medicines, a lift, help for an elderly neighbour.
- Agreeing on a shared basement, a meeting place or taking turns on watch.
Community or family group?
A community is open to people in that place. A family and friends group is private: only the people you invite can see it, and in it you can report “I'm safe” and share your location.
Frequently asked questions
Who can see the community chat?
The community chat is for people in that place who have joined the community. For personal matters, use a private family and friends group.
Why is there no community for my village yet?
A new community opens once 10 people have joined. Request it and invite your neighbours — when ten have gathered, the chat opens for everyone.
Do communities work without internet?
No, chats need the internet. Offline, the map works: every place is saved on your phone.
